The Sashimi Sensor product guide details the functionality, design, and lifecycle of the sensor, which is designed to be a non-invasive retrofit for fume hoods.
Overview:
The sensor measures sash height with 1" or 2" resolution using a gradient tape detects user presence/motion via a passive IR sensor, and sends data wirelessly over Wi-Fi to the Sashboard.
Its universal adjustable mounting and small form factor allow it to accommodate 100% of vertical-moving sashes.
The product is designed for modularity and re-use, with a minimum effective lifespan of 12 years based on the microcontroller, and an expected lifespan of 15-20 years.
Optional MASH buzzer functionality and customizability are also available.
